Citizens State Bank is excited to announce the promotion of Rachel Thomas to Loan Processor III.
Rachel joined the Citizens family in 2022 as a Loan Processor I and quickly demonstrated a strong work ethic, a commitment to learning, and a passion for supporting both customers and colleagues. Her dedication and continued growth led to her promotion to Loan Processor II in December 2024, and she has continued building on that success ever since. Over the past several years, Rachel has expanded her mortgage lending expertise and taken ownership of several critical mortgage processing functions. She currently manages mortgage loans, reviews loan documentation for others within the department, oversees Freddie Mac UCD submissions, and most recently assumed responsibility for selling loans to Freddie Mac.
Rachel's willingness to embrace new challenges, combined with her attention to detail and problem-solving skills, has made her an invaluable resource for the Mortgage team. Her commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork helps ensure a seamless experience for both lenders and customers throughout the loan process.
When she's not helping lenders navigate the mortgage process, Rachel enjoys spending time with her two sons and her husband. She's happiest relaxing on the beach or pool, listening to country music, and dreaming of island life. She jokes that if she were stranded on a desert island, her two must-haves would be tacos and coffee... though a cold Spotted Cow and/or margarita certainly wouldn't hurt. Then again, she'd rather skip being stranded altogether and own a private tropical island, complete with a personal jet and pilot so friends and family could visit anytime.
