We are excited to share that AJ Shafer has been promoted to Relationship Banker in our Clayton office!
Since joining Citizens in 2021, AJ has been a valued part of the Clayton team. Known for her positive attitude and strong work ethic, she consistently goes above and beyond to support both customers and coworkers. AJ has a natural ability to connect with people, taking the time to ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully, and truly “peel back the onion” to understand each customer’s unique financial needs.
AJ is especially recognized for her willingness to take on challenges. Whether researching complex debit card questions or helping customers navigate important financial decisions, she is committed to finding the best solutions. She also brings a collaborative spirit to her work, regularly sharing her knowledge and experience with teammates, making her a trusted and reliable resource within the bank.
A Clayton native, AJ takes pride in serving the community she calls home. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active through yoga and kayaking, and she has an adventurous side, always looking ahead to future experiences, including one day checking skydiving off her bucket list.
