We’re excited to share that Taneesha Blenka has been promoted to Assistant Vice President – Risk Officer here at Citizens State Bank!
Taneesha began her Citizens career in April 2021 as a Quality Resource Specialist, where her commitment to learning and growth quickly stood out. In July 2024, she was promoted to Risk Officer, a role in which she has played a key part in strengthening our risk management framework and building trust across departments.
When Taneesha joined Citizens, she had no prior banking experience, but that didn’t slow her down. She embraced every opportunity to learn, never hesitated to ask questions, and always pushed herself to find solutions. Over time, she’s become a go-to resource for many across the bank, offering expertise in compliance, vendor management, and risk assessment.
Her accountability, responsiveness, and positive attitude have made a lasting impact, particularly as the bank has enhanced its standards. Taneesha’s ability to adapt, lead, and support her peers reflects her commitment to both personal growth and the success of Citizens as a whole. Taneesha’s “Yes I Can” attitude shines through in everything she does, and her continued leadership will be vital to our success moving forward.
Outside of work, Taneesha enjoys spending time with her family while on the water boating, tackling design projects, and showing off her skills with a power tool or two. When she’s not working on a project, you might find her enjoying tacos and margaritas, listening to country music, or planning her dream bucket list adventure—a safari in Africa.
