Congratulations to Jon Trapp – Engaged Employee of the Third Quarter 2025!

When it comes to engagement, few embody the Citizens Way quite like Jon Trapp. As our AVP | Training & Development Officer, Jon doesn’t just show up, he elevates everyone around him. Whether he’s welcoming new employees, volunteering in the community, or spreading positivity with his signature one-liners, Jon consistently demonstrates what it means to be 100% engaged.

Jon’s impact extends well beyond the walls of Citizens. He proudly serves as President-Elect of the La Crosse Area SHRM Chapter, volunteers with LASHRM Emerging Leaders, participates as a United Way Fund Distribution Volunteer, and rings the bells for the Salvation Army each holiday season. Inside Citizens, his leadership and commitment have earned him recognition as our 1st Quarter 2025 Star Winner and Top Cheer Sender in July, proof that his enthusiasm and appreciation for others never go unnoticed.

When the ISO needed an extra hand with quarterly security audits, Jon didn’t hesitate to step in. That’s who he is, someone who sees a need and says, “how can I help”. He consistently goes above and beyond by exceeding expectations in his work, nurturing our culture with every new employee who steps through the door, and offering thoughtful feedback and genuine praise to coworkers. Jon is also an active participant on social media and at Citizens events, regularly earning late Fridays for his interactions and never hesitating to volunteer when an opportunity arises. He’s emotionally committed to the success of Citizens and the people who make it special, embracing the “Yes I Can” attitude no matter how full his plate may be.

Jon’s engagement extends even into the heart of the building, the Café. He chooses to use this space daily, whether it’s for lunch, a quick meeting, or to brainstorm with the Café Committee on the next big event. His presence there keeps the culture connected and reminds everyone that engagement isn’t something that happens by accident, it’s something you build, one conversation and cup of coffee at a time!

Jon fully embraces our pulse measurables, from submitting Cheers to sharing his Get More wins, and he lives out our core values each day. He brings fun through his humor and quick wit, maintains a positive attitude even on the toughest days, stays responsive to employee needs, often putting others first, takes accountability for his actions, and delivers excellence by double- and triple-checking his work to ensure every employee gets the best from the HERO Team.

Jon will tell you he’s not perfect, but that humility is part of what makes him exceptional. His meticulous attention to detail, willingness to learn, and unwavering commitment to the Citizens’ culture make him an invaluable part of the team.
