Executive Leadership is excited to announce Charlene Chang as our Engaged Employee of the Quarter!
Charlene’s story here at Citizens State Bank began in December of 2021 and she has continually proven her dedication to the bank’s success! The way that she goes above and beyond for both her customers and coworkers is something that does not go unnoticed, and we are so happy she is on our team!
While Charlene embraces all our Core Values, one that stands out to us is her ability to “engage” each and every day! One way that she has engaged with a customer is by putting together a basket for someone who recently got a puppy! Charlene went out of her way to gather dog toys, treats, and other goodies for the new owner to use and enjoy! Not only did this bring a smile to the customer, but it made that customer feel valued and appreciated. Here at Citizens State Bank, we strive to deliver the #citizensexperience and ensure that our customers are more than a number. Without employees like Charlene, who intentionally listen and build relationships with our customers, this would not be possible!
Charlene also engages with her coworkers as well as makes other contributions to our culture here! A few ways she engages with those around her are by having drink and snack tastings, competing in our annual Pop-A-Shot tournament, participating in eating contests, and going to 506 events! Charlene also goes out of her way to leave an impression on our new employees! One way she does this is by inviting new employees to go on ice cream walks. By doing this she is able to make the new employee feel welcomed and comfortable, all while building a new relationship! Not only that, but she contributes to our culture by utilizing our bank app, going on Coffee Deliveries, submitting Funny Board’s, and putting through STAR Recommendations! As you can see, there are a lot of different ways that Charlene gets to know her coworkers and promote our products here at Citizens!
When Charlene isn’t in the office, that doesn’t stop her from making a difference! In fact, she actively volunteers at several organizations such as The Good Fight, Salvation Army, River City Youth Hockey, Polar Plunge 2022, Mobile Meals, Hunger Task Force, and the Children’s Museum! Giving back to our local communities is something we value a lot here as we would not be where we are today without them. We are so thankful to have an employee like Charlene who prioritizes helping those in need and making an impact in the community!
