Pay It Forward Pigs, Part I

Every year we give our employees $10 to pay it forward to someone in need. (More to come)

All of our employees come from different walks in life and it's interesting to see where they left their pig. Where they leave their pig is an indication of the community they live in, their hobbies or interests, or what they value.

Grand River Station Bus Terminal - Emilee, La Crosse

I live above in the Grand River apartments and I see a lot of people taking the bus or just passing through and sitting on the benches. I also have noticed homeless people camped out in the terminal sleeping on the benches at night. I thought that someone could really use the money and possibly pass it on to someone else in the terminal with the other 5 dollars.

Galesville Police Station - Leah, Onalaska

I live above in the Grand River apartments and I see a lot of people taking the bus or just passing through and sitting on the benches. I also have noticed homeless people camped out in the terminal sleeping on the benches at night. I thought that someone could really use the money and possibly pass it on to someone else in the terminal with the other 5 dollars.

Wisconsin Dells Outlet Mall - Erin, La Crosse

I left the pig on a rock in the Dells Outlet. I had a meaningful conversation with my daughter about giving back to everyone and that leaving the money might help someone have a better Holiday season. We watched for a couple of minutes and there was a lot of interest in the pig and a couple of people even picked it up and read the outside, but then placed it back down. When we returned a couple hours later, it was gone.

Melrose Farm Service - Sherilyn, La Crosse

My hometown and I thought it was tongue in cheek to leave it at the Farm Service since it's a pig. LOL!

Rivers Crossing Building - Mike, La Crosse

I had a closing there. Rivers Crossing is a highly used building with multiple tenants. Set upon a bench outside the building at a seating area.
